TAB Media’s summer season intern shares about religion journey

As the environment gets prepared to get again to college, Addie Lee Frierson — TAB’s summer season intern — is having prepared to begin her senior yr at Samford College as an English important with a double insignificant in producing and faith.

“I improved my important to English my sophomore yr and am so thankful I did,” she explained. “I have observed an awesome community with my professors and friends. They drive me and challenge me to believe in approaches that I wouldn’t normally.”

She’s always beloved reading through and composing, and her knowledge with God goes again a extended way, much too. 

“I grew up blessed with moms and dads who have been invested in my religious walk from the beginning,” Frierson said.

She went to a Christian university that was a part of the church in which she grew up. Then when she was 13, she endured a head harm and had to commit a few weeks on brain relaxation.

“Spending working day soon after working day in a darkish area was really lonely,” Frierson reported. “I recall talking to my mom who stated that I didn’t have to feel lonely because of Christ. She explained the relational side of the gospel, which I experienced heard ahead of, but for the initially time, I comprehended what a blessing it was that Jesus wished a romantic relationship with me.”

She made the decision to follow Christ and was baptized before long following. Currently her faith journey carries on as she attends Samford and Shades Mountain Baptist Church.

‘So a great deal sweeter’

“Going to faculty has challenged me in my faith the most. It grew to become my decision, which has created it so considerably sweeter,” Frierson said. “I have identified a local community at Shades Mountain Baptist Church that problems me, walks with me and pours into me working day in and day out. I have acquired a lot more in Shades’ faculty ministry than I ever imagined doable.”

And at Samford, she has been challenged spiritually and academically, she reported.

“I can say with self esteem and in the most effective way feasible that I am not the very same man or woman I was when I to start with walked onto campus,” she reported. “I have grown and modified for the greater.”

Frierson claimed she’s loved her time at TAB far too. “I’ve loved the perform environment and group,” she reported. “They have all been so intentional in receiving to know me.”
